Metro Link dates back to December 1954 when the Oliveri Bros took over the route 41 Liverpool - Mt Pritchard service from Calabro Bros Bus Service.

Oliveri Transport Services combined with Ingleburn Bus Service (which had been in the Oliveri family since 01/09/61) on the 1st of June 1989 to form Metro Link. However, during September 1993 the operations split again with the Liverpool services retaining the Metro Link name, and the Ingleburn services re-branded to Interline Bus & Coach. A new depot in Cowpasture Road opened Monday December 6 2010 and was officially opened Thursday 30 June 2011.

After nearly 60 years of operation under the Oliveri family, Metro-link route bus operations ceased operating in Sydney MBSC Region 3 on Saturday October 12th 2013, after which Transit Systems took over operation of all Region 3 services from Oliveri's, Hopkinson's, Busabout & Westbus (CDC) on Sunday October 13th 2013. 5x Volvo B12BLE/Bustech "VST" and 14x Volvo B7RLE/Bustech "VST" were transferred with all other vehicles retained for continuing charter operations. Transit Systems entered into a lease agreement for the operation of Lot 102 Cowpasture Rd, Len Waters Estate, Green Valley with all remaining Oliveri buses moved to 27 Liverpool Street, Ingleburn to continue charter services. Oliveri's relocated to the Cowpasture Rd depot in January 2017 after it was vacated by Transit Systems.
