The trading names of Sydney Buses and Newcastle Buses are being been progressively been removed from 2014. Other previous operating names of State Transit were Urban Transit Authority (UTA), Public Transport Commission (PTC) and Department of Government Transport (DGT). State Transit also owned and operated Western Sydney Buses Pty Ltd from 16 February 2003, which operated services along the T-way from Parramatta to Liverpool. This operation ceased on 1 October 2013 with the service passing to Transit (NSW) Liverpool Pty Ltd, trading as Transit Systems.
