| Notes: | NOTE: ORIGINAL PTC/MET GOV'T SERIES REGO PLATES - MWE 260 to MWE 359. 300 WAS LATER RE-REGD TO MVR 300. Withdrawn date refers to the date the bus was last in service with PTC/MET, Ventura Bus Lines/National Bus Company, or Melbourne Bus Link. The code next to withdrawn date indicates which depot the bus was withdrawn from/at Codes are as follow D = Doncaster N= North Fitzroy C= Clifton Hill E= Elwood F= Footscray S= Sandringham 292 - 351 had Gov't MWE series plates matching fleet numbers. Although (300) was MVR300 prior to MWE issue. 300 was the fIrst bus to be painted in Melbourne Bus Link livery. 331,338 were the last SL200's to be repainted in to Melbourne Bus Link livery. 330,337,344.were the last M.A.N SL200/Ansair "Mk2's" in White MetBus livery ( MET - White with Yellow and Blue stripes)in service at Melbourne Bus Link . The M.A.N SL200/Ansair Mk2 units all have/had Renk 3 speed gear boxes, expect ex 298, 321, 323, 324, 325, 326, 327and 328 which had Voith 3 or 4 speed gear boxes. Ex 339 was the only M.A.N SL200/Ansair mk2 able to carry wheelchairs 10 M.A.N SL200/Ansair "Mk2's" run on CNG as a trial during the MetBus years, they were all converted back to diesel by 1994. |
