In May 1980 the statewide stage service network of Tasmanian Coach Lines was acquired which gave Redline the base of their current long distance services.

Following the withdrawl of Ansett and TAA from Airporter services in 1982 Tasmanian Redline commenced airport services in Hobart and Launceston. The service of Sorell Coaches was acquired in 1983. Later acquisitions include Menzies of Launceston and the stage service of Cook's of Hobart.
