South Bundy Buses began operation in January 1998 with the takeover of Wagner's Bus Service, Bundaberg.
Acquired runs (S128), (S559), (P1561), (P1697) and (P1772) from Wagner's Bus Service (D. & B. Wagner), Bundaberg in January 1998, with vehicles 273 BRC, 342 CXV, 377 DAG, 852 ALE, 876 OLS and 950 NSM.
Acquired runs (P20) and (P415) from Isis Bus Service, Childers during September 2001, with vehicles 071 PQI, 451 BWX and 711 PAP. A third run was also acquired, but later amalgamated with a run formerly owned by F.W. White.
Acquired runs (P1115) and (P1868) from F.W. White, Childers in May 2002, with vehicles 368 CAP and 534 BIW.
Acquired run (S438) from N.T. & K.M. Copas, Childers in June 2004, with vehicle 357 CIJ.
Acquired runs (S140) and (P1120) from Sharpe Transit Services (R.G. & E.J. Sharpe), Bundaberg on 6th October 2006, with vehicles 024 CWL, 695 FWK and 950 NSM.
Run (P1951) was a new service for Givelda State School which ceased at the end of Semester 4, 2017.
