Southern Highlands Coaches was operated by GW (George) & GY (Gladys) Ould from the rear of 296 Argyle St, Moss Vale from 1961 to 1971. In 1971, the operation moved to their new constructed depot at 2 Dixon St, Moss Vale. Coach touring was also operated through the company Trans Tours (Moss Vale) Pty Ltd and worked in with Cole's of Riverstone on their Australian tours. Most coaches were painted in the Trans Tours dark green livery, although some were repainted over time into the Southern Highlands Coaches livery of white with dark blue bands and red sign writing. The bus fleet had their bands done in varying ways.
The operation was sold to John A. Gilbert Pty Ltd, Mittagong in February 1984 with the vehicles listed.
