Jenlai Pty.Ltd. is a second generation bus business started by K.& V.J. Rowe. Keith and Valda Rowe had their start in 2/76 on a school bus run in Tabulam purchased from R.A. & C. Rolfe. They sold the contract and relocated to Manilla to acquire the Manilla - Rushes Creek school service from J.W. Noble in 4/82. This contract was sold to J. & L. Kendall in 6/86, enabling the Rowes relocation to Moree to take over the Moree - Glenbranter (known as 'Foxes Lane') school service from D. & S.J. Groat, Moree 7/86 with MO 8441 Nissan PRX102D. Around 1989, they added a second contract - Moree - Tulloona Bore - from T.W. & J.S. Trim, Moree with MO 7314 Albion Viking.
The company Jenlai Pty.Ltd. was incorporated on 9/4/90 to take over from the family partnership. In 1992, the Moree - Croppa Creek school service was acquired from B.K. & M.A. Kellehear, Moree with MO 8485 Bedford SB5. The Rowes sold N1781 Moree - Glenbranter Homestead (known as 'Foxes Lane') service to L.G. Rooney in approximately 1997 with MO 2053 Hino RG197K. The company passed down a generation to Trevor and Sonia Rowe (T. & S.T. Rowe), who run the business alongside farming interests on their property on Gwydirfield Rd. Jennifer Rae - another Rowe sibling - also owned a bus contract in Moree separate to the family business. Keith Rowe passed away 21/7/22.
Services renumbered/renamed in conjunction with Transport Connected Bus (TCB) roll out, which went live 3/25.
