In May 1975, Merv Hennock teamed with Parkes bus operator Peter McQuie to take over the business of Reg Waser's Bus Lines (7 buses) under the trading name Western Road Liners. In 9/80, this partnership dissolved with the entity Merv Hennock & Sons taking over the Parkes - Back Trundle Rd school service. Their first contracts in Forbes came from the break up of Bowmans Bus Service in 12/81: N0942 Forbes - Daroobalgie and N0943 Forbes - Orange Rd. Over a 33 year period, the Hennock family gradually consolidated all bus contracts in Forbes culminating in the takeover of Monolat Pty Ltd t/a Forbes Bus Lines with 8 buses 1/2/14. Subsequently, Merv Hennock & Sons Pty Ltd has assumed the Forbes Bus Lines trading name.
ll Forbes and Parkes services were renumbered/renamed in conjunction with the roll out of Transport Connect Bus for these services on 1/6/21.
Acquired N1298 Eugowra - Eurow Lane, N0906 Eugowra - Eulimore - Mackays Creek & N0607 Eugowra - Trajere from MM & WJ Hayes, Eugowra 1/4/24 with 4149 MO, 4919 MO & 9163 MO. They were renumbered/renamed in conjunction with the roll out of Transport Connect Bus for these services in 9/24.
