Green's Northern Coaches started in August 1973 when Rod Green purchased Route 2 Wollongong - Stanwell Park from Jim Hill Senior's Hills Bus Service at Fairy Meadow with 6 vehicles:- m/o 6201 Leyland OPS2, m/o 6203 Leyland OPS2, m/o 6206 Leyland OPD1 (rebody), m/o 6215 Leyland Royal Tiger Cub, m/o 6230 Albion Aberdion MR11 & m/o 6234 AEC HMU2.
Route 15 Helensburgh - Stanwell Park was acquired from Colin Crossley's Helensburgh Bus Service on 1 January 1992 with 5 ex UTA Leyland Leopards:- m/o 895, m/o 7883 and m/o 7901 were from the Helensburgh Bus Service operation, while m/o 6206 and m/o 8238 were from the associated Crossley Bus Lines, Auburn fleet. By March 1993, the Helensburgh depot at 155 Walker Street was established.
Rod Green's sons, Wayne and Troy Green, established Legends Coach Service Pty Ltd (Acc No. 32794), Helensburgh with AA92IW Autobus - Cummins C8.3 6F9P05000T2UX7023 / Autobus (068 9/96) C65F Reg 15/9/04 National Nambour Bus & Coach (AP & J & S West), Chevallum, QLD 714 DXQ. It became TV 3433 by 12/04. Wayne Green later went on to start Shellharbour City Tour Coaches, Albion Park with TV 6729 Toyota Hi-Ace (-/95) B13C reg 25/8/11. Entire operation sold to John King of the Premier Group on 2 February 2015 to be incorporated under the Premier Illawarra trading name. The acquired fleet is formally operated under the Premier Charters Pty Ltd business name (Acc No. 40413). Sale consisted on route and school contracts and 18 vehicles. Depots are leased to Premier in the interim period from the sale date to present.
