The O'Nains family took over route 109 Hurstville - Carss Park via Bellevue Pde and/or Woniora Rd and Hurstville - George & West Sts from A.A. Whitham t/a Greens Bus Lines & Carss Coaches in December 1984. The family operated the service alongside Helensburgh Bus Service (route 15). Route 109 was sold 24/10/87 to new owners associated with Premier Hire Cars, who continued to use the Greens Bus Lines trading name. Helensburgh Bus Service was sold to Colin Crossley on 1/7/88.
John O'Nains purchased route 109 off the previous owners (associated with Premier Hire Cars) 2/6/89. The company name Carss Park Charter Tours and Bus Line was registered for the business on 19/6/89.
Following discussions between Department of Transport and operators affected by the delicensing of South Western Coach Lines on 8 October 1990, Carss Park Charter Tours and Bus Line took over the Hurstville - Baldface section of Route 114 formerly operated by South Western.
On 2 March 1992, both routes were renumbered into the Sydney Region Route Number System: Route 109 became the 958 and Route 114 became the 959.
O'Nains sold the two routes to Southtrans (Deane's Coaches (South) Pty Ltd), Menai on 29 December 1993 with ex UTA Leopards m/o 8035 & m/o 8311.
Following the sale of the routes, Carss Park Charter Tours and Bus Line became a charter only operator. In late-1994, Geoff Newham (Kingsgrove Bus & Coach) took over the remains of the business from John O'Nains, consisting of the company's charter diary and customers, two drivers, two Bedfords and John's son Jason as the mechanic. O'Nains retained the Bedford / CC step deck, which was repainted into Kingsgrove inspired colours and ran under Newham's accreditation, driven by Jason O'Nains on behalf of his father.
