Frank (DF) Bickley formed Bickleys Bus Service in 2006 with the take over of RA Day, Finley with the Finley - Myrtle Park / The Retreat and Finley - Jerilderie Route 1 school contracts and two buses, MO 674 Volvo B10M & MO 4456 Mercedes-Benz OH1418.
In January 2007, the Finley - Berrigan Route 2 (Monaro Vale) school contract was purchased from HN Spence Pty Ltd, Finley with MO 2905 Hino AK176K.
On 1 July 2007, the take over of N & B Purtill (Nkbampy Pty Ltd) added the Finley - South Coree 1, Finley - South Coree 2 & Finley - Warranooke / Blighty school contracts to Bickleys business, along with MO 2154 Mitsubishi Rosa, MO 5579 Daewoo BH117L and MO 6393 Hino RB8.
In January 2010, Bickleys secured the Boree Creek - Buckingbong Forest school contract from Phillip Alexander, Boree Creek with UVP 861 Nissan Civilian. This school run is outstationed at Boree Creek, a small village 133km north-east of Finley.
Frank's daughter, Rochelle (RD) Bickley, gained separate accreditation around 2012. On 16 July 2012, the Finley - Wunnamurra / Jerilderie & Finley - Jerilderie Route 2 school contracts were purchased from Ewing Buses (RJ & GL Ewing), Jerilderie with 1201 MO Hino RG197K & 1202 MO Hino RB8. Jerilderie Route 2 is owned by RD Bickley. The take over reduced the number of companies serving Finley schools to just four. At the peak in ownership there were 10.
The Boree Creek - Buckingbong Forest school contract passed from DF Bickley to RD Bickley around-2013.
Bickley's Bus Service was shut down by Transport for New South Wales Friday 5 June 2015 at 4:50pm. Buslines Group Pty Ltd assumed operation of Bickley's school contracts as of 9/6/15 on a temporary basis. The contracts were sold to Purtill Bros Nominees Pty Ltd, Deniliquin as of 1/4/16 with selected vehicles.
