Warren Bremner took over the town segment of the Bathurst operation of Buslines of Australia in July 1977.
In 1999, Bremner sold Bathurst Coaches to Robin Flack and Ken Grindrod, the proprietors of 3F Pty Ltd, a coach company based at Mudgee with the Lithgow - Coonabarabran / Baradine Countrylink contract amongst others, and also of Coach Distributors, the Australian distributor for Dennis Javelin coach chassis and American Bluebird chassis.
The business was run under three different banners:
1 - Bathurst Coaches Pty Ltd (Bathurst public and school buses)
2 - 3F Pty Ltd (Countrylink work)
3 - A2B Coaches Pty Ltd (Coach charter).
Thomas Coaches, Cowra was also taken over in 2001 trading as Cowra Bus Service Pty Ltd. This fleetlist also included vehicles operating out of Cowra, some of which rotated between Cowra and Bathurst.
Bathurst Coaches & associated companies went into administration in June 2004 with debts reported to be over the $3 million mark. It was announced on Friday 13 August that Jones Bros Bus Co Pty Ltd, Lithgow were successful in their bidds for take over, with their takeover reported to have been confirmed at a creditors meeting on September 3 2004. Jones Bros took over from 7 October 2004. The Cowra operation was sold to J & B Thompson t/a Cowra Bus Service in October 2004.
