Brian Ayliffe moved to Cobargo in 1947 when his family bought one of the two grocery stores in town, naming it Ayliffe's General Store. In 1973, Brian Ayliffe and Mary Ayliffe (nee Tyrrell) purchased two school bus runs, driving one each for 30 years. Their son Mark and partner Lisa now own the bus service.
