Capital Touring Services Pty Ltd is owned by John Williams and commenced trading around 2002 under the name Canberra Day Tours. The company previously operated a Canberra Explorer-style sightseeing service, which ceased around the same time Canberra City Explorer Pty Ltd commenced double decker tour operations in January 2014. After the double decker service ceased on 31 January 2015, Capital Touring Services Pty Ltd recommenced the Canberra Explorer service. The service was replaced by the 'Culture Loop', a new tourist shuttle bus service jointly funded by several cultural institutions. The first 'Culture Loop' shuttle departed Canberra Museum and Gallery at 9 AM on 20 December 2018.
