| Notes: | The Scania L113 with Ansair "Orana" body were the first mass produced low floor bus for State Transit, the early examples only had a no step entrance and exit, mid way through the contract a wheelchair area was added, however due to the dimensions of the front axle, wheelchair entry was via an electric ramp attached to the centre door, with two spaces provided near to the centre door with 5 top up seats attached to the wall. Delivery commenced in early 1996 of these vehicles, they were new to Waverley, Randwick, and Leichhardt, Ryde followed by Kingsgrove Port Botany and finally Willoughby. Some of these depots also having allocations of the 3 axle L113’s as well. Kingsgrove for many years hosted all three of the Scania L113 types, high floor CNG powered, 3 axle and low floor. Initially since these were the only low floor vehicles in the fleet the 156 vehicles were split between six depots, however with the delivery of other low floor models from 1999, Ryde, Leichhardt Port Botany and Waverley allocations were transferred out to the three depots which would continue to operate them for the rest of their time, these depots being Kinsgrove, Randwick and Willoughby. The bulk of these transfers were to Kingsgrove as nine buses were new to this depot, by the time this depot was franchised in 2018 there were 55 low floor Scanias amongst it’s fleet. The L113CRL fleet ended up being more or less evenly split between Kingsgrove, Randwick and Willoughby before withdrawals due to age and condition commenced in 2017. Region 6 Franchised On 1st July 2018, the services in the Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service Contract for Region 6, services operated out of Burwood, Leichhardt, Kingsgrove and Tempe depots were transferred to Transit Systems West Pty Ltd, at the time, this company also operated in Region 3 as well. With this, 76 Scania L113 buses were transferred from Kingsgrove and Tempe depots Region 7 Franchised 9th January 2022 saw the services within Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service Contract for Region 7 pass to Busways North West Pty Ltd. With this 23 Scania L113CRL buses based at Willoughby were transferred to this operator. A few days later, on the 12th January 2022, the remainder of the Scania L113CRL buses based at Randwick depot were withdrawn from service and transferred to Port Botany depot for decommissioning. Of these 15 vehicles, bus number 3716 was the one to perform the final service trip of this type for the State Transit Authority - performing the 14:15 390X service from Bondi Junction to La Perouse - from the terminus the vehicle headed straight to Port Botany depot.
