ex Baxters buses: Fawn with orange stripes
Trading as Westway, the Threkeld family took over route 42 Liverpool - Hammondville / Holsworthy (occasional trips to East Hills Hostel & Sandy Point) from F & M Grueicic's Holsworthy Bus Service in August 1982.
Route 858 Liverpool - Warwick Farm, route 859 Liverpool – Chipping Norton – Milperra Bridge & Liverpool – Milperra Bridge via Newbridge Rd & route 860 Liverpool - Bankstown were taken over from Milperra Bus Service on 1 July 1987. On 1 March 1992, route 858 was transferred to Oliveri Transport Services Pty Ltd, Green Valley and renumbered 849. Ex Milperra vehicle retained separate accreditation up until Westway became transit First.
The following services were taken over from Crossley Bus Lines, Chester Hill on 29 January 1997 with a variety of Leyland Leopards and two Hino RG197Ks.

On 5 May 2003, West Bankstown Bus Service Pty Ltd (rouites 935-937) and Bankstown-Strathfield Bus Service (Fairtown Pty Ltd - routes 484-486), Greenacre were taken over from the Truer family with 23 vehicles and the following routes:

935 Bankstown - Condell Park
936 Bankstown - Yagoona West
937 Bankstown - Airport - Georges Hall
Westway Bus & Coach Service was relaunched as transit First (spelt deliberately with an uncapitalised "t") on Monday 7 July 2003. The red stripe toward the rear of the Westway livery was repainted green (m/o 4303 was the prototype for this livery) and a new livery of a green front with a diagonal blue pin stripe was introduced onto the low floors.
On 1 January 2005, the Bankstown and Fairfield district services of Baxter's Bus Lines (Holroyd Bus Lines Pty Ltd) were purchased 16 vehicles and the following routes:

818 Fairfield - Chester Hill
930 Bankstown - Bankstown Showground
932 Bankstown - Georges Hall via Yagoona West
Demerton Pty Ltd t/as transit First was taken over by Veolia Transport (NSW) Pty Ltd as from 1 February 2007 with 86 vehicles.
