Using the company North Shore Shuttle Services Pty Ltd (registered 23/12/02), a contract service to Lane Cove Council known as the Lane Cove Village Xpress shuttle service commenced in 2002. Two routes were operated:-
Route A Mars Rd industrial estate, Lane Cove West to Lane Cove Plaza East via Barwon Rd.
Route B Mars Rd industrial estate, Lane Cove West to Lane Cove Plaza East via Mowbray Rd.
m/o 1456 & m/o 1457 Mercedes-Benz LO812 / Custom Coaches midi buses were fitted with destination boards to operate this service. After a review by Lane Cove Council on 21 September 2009, the service was discontinued.

The name North Sydney Bus Charters was registered as a company on 21 June 2002 and a charter company evolved out of the small bus operation. Accreditation 33752 was gained in January 2006, tying in with the first purchases of full size buses to service a growing charter business.

From Monday 4 May 2009, North Sydney Bus Charters commenced trial operation of the Artarmon Loop service for Willoughby Council, using two ex STA Mercedes-Benz O305s TV 5716 & TV 5717 with four seats removed on each for bike storage space. Starting at St Leonards Station (Herbert St), the Loop travelled through the industrial area of Artarmon and along the Pacific Highway, running past TAFE NSW and the Royal North Shore Hospital. The initial service departed every 10 minutes between 6:30am & 9:30am and 2:00pm & 6:00pm, and at 15 minutes headways between these hours. This proved a successful service and Willoughby Council tendered the service. I Love Oz Pty Ltd took over operation of the service with three Fuso Rosa minibuses as of January 2010 and then signed a new three year contract for the service effective 1 July 2011.

A trial peak hour bus service from Green Square Railway Station to University of New South Wales commenced on April 4 2011. Several Mercedes-Benz O305s received signage for the service. This service ceased without replacement.

The courtesy bus contract at Cabravale Diggers Club was secured in early-2012 using TV 6633 Fuso Rosa. This service operates seven days per week from 12pm to 12am and later on Thursday to Saturday nights. The previous known operator of this service was G & S Mini Bus Pty Ltd, who were delicensed in May 2010.

On 22 June 2012, North Sydney Bus Charters purchased the vehicles and work of Voyager Coaches Pty Ltd from the King family with five vehicles. Existing company North Shore Shuttle Service Pty Ltd (registered 23/12/02) (38437) was used to purchase this business. A depot at Ingleside is used to stable some buses. The King family retained the company Voyager Coaches Pty Ltd to operate their 4WD touring company Voyager 4x4 Adventures.

From 23 July 2012, North Sydney Bus Charters took over the contract for operation of the Mosman Rider free community bus service from Mosman City Council. TV 6791 Fuso Rosa is in a special livery for this contract.
