Ray and Noelene Newman purchased their first coach in July 2008, operating charter and tour work under the name Newmans Coaches, based at Macksville. The company has since relocated to East Kempsey.
Although Newmans Coaches have a similar trading name and the same livery as the former Newmans Bus Service at Kempsey, Ray Newman is not related to the Newman family. However, Ray was born and raised in Macksville.
